_The Castle Hotel is a privately run 3 Star award winning Hotel. It has
_been owned and run by Howard and Helen Fradley for 20 years. It
_prides itself on the quality of food and accommodation that it provides
_for each guest that walks through the door.

_The Hotel is situated in the centre of Downham Market some 28 miles
_north of Cambridge with easy access to London (M11). Downham
_Market itself is a charming Norfolk market town. It has one or two claims
_to fame; in that it helped to educate the young Norfolk boy who was to
_become Lord Nelson and it was also the home of Captain Manby who
_invented the life-saving gun used in shore-to-shipwreck rescue
_operations.

_Around Downham the visitor will find much to enjoy without going far
_afield. The Wash is only a few miles away and there is golf, boating,
_fishing and of course the great meeting place of rivers at Denver. Here
_the Great Ouse sweeps round to collect the water of the river Wissey
_and joins up at the mighty Denver Sluice with the Bedford rivers and the
_new relief channel, all flowing towards the sea.
